Taking Stock 01

Making: Banana bread with this recipe
Cooking:
Uninspired! Warmed Morningstar “chicken” nuggets  for the kids and me tonight with green beans. Threw leftover cheese tortellini on the plate from last night for good measure.
Drinking: Hot peppermint tea at the moment.
Reading: Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, by Lisa See
Wanting: A pair of classic black polarized Wayfarer sunglasses, Ray-Ban’s would be awesome, but I’m on the lookout for a look-alike pair with a lower price tag.
Playing: Sappy love songs by Jason Mraz. I Won’t Give Up is my fave and the video is moving. He’ll be at the Fox Theater in Atlanta September 9th, but I haven’t put any plans into action to go…maybe…
Wasting: Watching movies with my visiting brother while the kids are asleep. Divergent with Shailene Woodley (very good, reminded me a touch of Hunger Games despite different storylines because both plots had cryptically-ruled, post-apocalyptic societies), Transcendence with Johnny Depp (decent, but a little out there), and The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz (fun, chick flick, loved Cameron’s outfits in this movie!).
Wishing: For healing and for another life not to be taken by depression or addiction like the oh-so talented, much loved Robin Williams who I happen to share my birthday with.
Enjoying: Being a stay-at-home mom, my time with my sons and the simplicity of life I have at the moment.
Waiting: For hubby to get home Friday from being out of town this week for work.
Liking: That my sons are enjoying school and come home to me happy.
Wondering: When or if I’ll continue onto chapter four of this novel Searching for Georgia I began last month. I want to continue, but then I tell myself, who am I kidding – I can’t write a novel. I will continue…total crap or not. Soon.
Loving: Our new super comfy couch from Macy’s. It is sooo comfortable.
Marveling: At how fast my sons are growing. These first seven years as a mom have flown by. Realizing that 18 years is not that long to raise children before they move on into adulthood… Can’t blink.
Needing: Have all I need. Just to know my family is safe and sound.
Smelling: My youngest son’s stinky gas tonight! What did I feed him? How does that stink come from such a cute little boy
Wearing: Pajamas at the moment, but not the cutest pjs. I have on loungy pants and an oversized T-shirt. I am super comfortable, though.
Knowing: I am blessed.
Thinking: About the church consignment sale coming up. I haven’t bought cardstock, entered or printed the tags for the items I’m selling and I have to been done by Saturday. Tomorrow is booked so I’ll either sell very little or be a very busy girl on Friday.
Opening: Fun purchases from Charming Charlie redeemed from birthday gift card.

Giggling: See “Smelling” above.
Feeling: See “Knowing.”
